NDA performed better than Congress in states
It gives great pleasure in reading the news that eight poor states of the country have proved to be miracle economies of the world. It is reported that in five year period 2004-05 to 2008-09 India’s GDP registered an average growth of 8.45%. States like Bihar, Orrisa, MP, UP, Uttarakhand, Chattishgarh, Jharkhand and Rajasthan , which were called as backward states have been able to exceed national average GDP growth rate for the said five years. I do not hesitate to point out here that all these states were are run by party other than Congress Party during the period under review.
Inspite of large scale poverty, unemployment and wide spread corruption , states like Bihar,Orissa, Chattishgarh have exhibited remarkable good progress, consistent annual growth for last five years, and a turnaround in normal public life from their past. This is mainly due to paradigm change in style of working brought about by newly formed government headed by Mr. Nitish Kumar, Mr. Naveen Kumar and Mr. Raman Kumar respectively. I would like to mention Bihar more emphatically because this was the state which was the most ridiculed state all over the country and this is the state where from emanate all great men of the country. It is Bihar from most of the students have to go for higher education and good employment to other states and other countries. I hope this trend will take a reverse gear in near future.
Similarly Orrisa and Chattishgarh are marching ahead under the able leadership of Mr. Naveen Kumar and Mr. Raman Kumar. But what is the real fate of Jharkhand in the hand of Mr. Sibu Soren , only God knows. At least after burning the fingers, rather entire body system under the rule of Madhu Koda , Jhadkhandis cannot dream of any development or change in administration or dilution in rampant corruption.
As regards growth in UP, MP, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, It can be said that there is considerably good improvement from their past. But still there is much to be done for overall satisfaction of residents of these states. I pray god that these eight states which have shown excellent improvement from their past will continue to do more to create such an environment that the resident of these states do not prefer going outside for education and for job. On the contrary people from other parts of the country will be attracted in these regions and at least person like Raj Thakre will realise his guilt of condemning and ridiculing North Indians.
It is however needed that the fruits of annual growth said to have been achieved by above named sates must go in the hands of poor people of these states and gap between the rich and the poor must shrink to maintain social peace and harmony as also to contain and fight out growing terrorism in the name of naxalism.
